Over the past few years FSG has helped a number of charities from cancer charities, to local social services.
In recent years we have been heavily involved with supporting Maggie’s Cancer Charity in Swansea. The support we have offered has ranged from fundraising to ongoing sponsorship.
We were pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor Maggie’s child cancer counsellor over a one-year period, providing support and counselling for hundreds of families across South and West Wales who were dealing with cancer treatment, recovery and in some cases sadly bereavement.
In addition, FSG were headline sponsors for the Maggie’s North to South Wales bike ride. A team of cyclists from all walks of life (including several FSG staff) took part in a 180-mile bike ride from North to South Wales over a 2-day period raising a total of £18,000 for the charity to support people with cancer.
FSG were also the Finish line sponsors for the NHS 70th Birthday Bed Run in Cardiff and most recently have sponsored Hafal (a pan Wales Mental Health Charity) young men’s Project Evolve, which provides an inviting space which encourages social inclusion and integration. Young men can come together in a stigma-free environment and share their experiences and battles with mental health through music and sound.
